Why "JKL" ?
As a child, I thought it was extremely special that these letters form my initials and occur in order, in the English alphabet. Now, I like using JKL since any product employs the alphabet as the microscopic building blocks for learning products across any curriculum, for any age.
Why "For Education"?
I come from a family that educates, seeking to better teaching and learning experiences in their local schools or universities. My parents, sister, great-grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins were or are professors, teachers, school or university administrators, and library professionals. I was fated to work in education at some point, in some manner, right? Perspective from family dinners help me now as I take the perspectives of the folks I work for -- the end users of the products I build.
I am passionate about designing educational experiences that are accessible and practical for users. I want users to delight in their experience with the brand from end-to-end (and internal company users to find no hurdles as they do their jobs with company systems).
I'm motivated by being a part of mission-driven organizations. Ultimately, my goal is to continue improving teaching and learning experiences at a national and global level. (I love that Curriki.org lives on after 19+ years!)
I would welcome the chance to discuss how I might help your company achieve its goals.

A few personal tidbits?
I live with my daughter, two cats, and my very small dog, Willie. I love to read, cook freestyle (see my blog Kale for All on remote cooking with workmates at Clarity Innovations), hang out with family and friends, eat pizza, garden, sing, and walk around my neighborhood, looking at the astonishing old houses in Historic Tulpehocken in West Germantown, Philadelphia.
